Next up – No more Free In-Flight Toilets

RyanAir recently removed airport checkin, eliminating a cost center. Now they might start charging for using the toilets in the plane. The communique from their marketing team said,

Ancillary revenues, all of which are avoidable, help to reduce the cost of flying Ryanair and passengers using train and bus stations are already accustomed to paying to use the toilet so why not on airplanes?

I am a fan of unbundling and my work on unbundling has been about exposing these  “ancillary revenues”, but in this case I do not see a case for unbundled toilet.
